The DentalMonitoring Process
Track Your Smile Transformation – Anytime, Anywhere
The DentalMonitoring app, available for both iOS and Android, puts the power of your treatment right in your pocket. At your first visit to one of our i-Orthodontics clinics, we’ll use our advanced 3D iTero™ Scanner to create a precise digital model of your smile. Dr. Isaac will then use that scan to plan and fabricate your Invisalign aligners.
From there, your orthodontic journey becomes simple and seamless. Using the app, you’ll send us quick photo updates of your smile each week, and we’ll compare them to your personalized treatment plan to ensure your progress is right on track.
With DentalMonitoring, you can enjoy all the benefits of expert orthodontic care – without the need for frequent in-office visits. As long as you have your phone, you can check in from anywhere. And while you may see us in person less often, you’ll still have full access to our team’s expertise and support, right at your fingertips.

FAQs About DentalMonitoring
Discover the answers to common questions about DentalMonitoring:
-
How does DentalMonitoring work?
Snap. Send. Smile.
With the DentalMonitoring app, your clear aligner check-ins are as easy as taking a selfie. If your progress is on track, you can skip the office visit and keep your smile moving forward – anywhere, anytime. -
How do I take the pictures of my teeth?
When you start treatment, we’ll provide you with a special device called a ScanBox that makes it easy to capture clear, accurate photos for the DentalMonitoring app. This handy tool fits right onto your smartphone, using the back camera to get a full view of your teeth while gently holding your lips out of the way.
Simply place your phone in the device, stand in front of a mirror, and open the app. From there, the app will walk you through each step – letting you know if you need to adjust your head or reposition your phone to get the perfect shot.
-
Who makes the decision to move onto the next aligner?
The decision to move on to your next aligner starts with the app’s AI, which analyzes your submitted scan. If it detects any issues, it will flag a 'No Go.' After that, a DentalMonitoring coordinator and Dr. Isaac review the scan together to confirm whether you’re ready to switch to the next aligner. This process ensures your treatment stays on track and your smile progresses safely.
-
How long does it take to receive a 'Go' or 'No Go' message on the DentalMonitoring app after submitting a scan?
It may take a few hours for you to get a response on your scan. Depending on the time of day, it can sometimes take longer but will not exceed half a business day.
-
What do I do if my aligner has a crack in it?
If your cracked aligner still fits comfortably, you can keep wearing it. However, if it causes discomfort or doesn’t fit properly, it’s okay to switch to your next aligner. Just be sure to inform our team and Dr. Isaac that you’re moving ahead so we can update your treatment plan accordingly.
-
If I lost an aligner do I have to scan for the week?
If you lose an aligner, you can go ahead and start wearing the next one. Just be sure to send a direct message to our team via the DentalMonitoring app so they can update your app information. It’s also important to let Dr. Isaac know about the lost aligner to keep your treatment on track.
