As an alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. I has made a name for himself as Colorado’s only Ivy League-trained orthodontist with multiple locations.
After completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania, he earned a full academic scholarship to dental school in Florida, where he graduated first in his class. Then, Dr. I returned to the University of Pennsylvania to complete a two-year orthodontic residency.
Along with recognition from the Denver community, Dr. I was awarded by the University of Pennsylvania for his research on the impact of orthodontics on facial aesthetics.
He is also proud to have been a member of the orthodontic faculty at the University of Colorado, where he taught diagnosis, treatment planning, growth, development, adult orthodontic treatment and clinical efficiency.
Dr. I is an active member of many orthodontic organizations including the American Dental Association (ADA), the Colorado Dental Association (CDA), the Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontists (RMSO). He is also an acting council member for the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), and a board member for the Metropolitan Denver Dental Society (MDDS), the Colorado Orthodontic Association (COA), the Colorado Summer Meeting (CSM), the Colorado Orthodontic Foundation (COF) and Kids In Need of Dentistry (KIND).

Dr. Danielle loves adventures.
Because, like her patients, each one makes her smile.
Dr. Danielle DeLand may have grown up in Michigan, but it was the lure of the mountains that eventually drew her to Colorado. Her story began at Michigan State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology. From there, she headed to Detroit to earn her Doctorate in Dental Surgery, graduating at the top of her class. Which, is a pretty big deal, and uber-competitive. After graduation, she stayed in Detroit where she specialized in orthodontics and earned her Masters of Science degree. Then, it was the southwest or bust, so Danielle packed her bags and left Motor City for Austin, Texas where she practiced for 2 years.
So, how did she end up in Colorado? Dr. Danielle moved to Colorado after hearing about a great position in Northern Colorado. She thrived there and helped so many people during her 5-year tenure. But, when the opportunity arose to work alongside Dr. I, Dr. Danielle jumped at the chance. Now, she’s here, and we couldn’t be more excited.
In addition to being an incredible orthodontist, Dr. Danielle loves to hike, travel (before Covid-19, that is), workout, watch Netflix, and play around with her two adorable Australian Shepards, Wrigley and Gus.
An annual benefit event hosted by i-Orthodontics and sponsored by Delta Dental, Friday Night Bites is a fundraiser for children across Colorado who lack access to quality dental care. Dr. I and his dream team work together each year to host this great event to raise funds for organizations such as Kids In Need of Dentistry (KIND), Team Smile, Colorado Orthodontic Foundation (COF) and Judy’s House.
i-Orthodontics is committed to providing children with accessible dental care. All proceeds from Friday Night Bites are donated to KIND. Dr. I and the team at i-Orthodontics are grateful to be able to contribute to the community, and we hope to see you at the next Friday Night Bites!
